A new experience

Overall, this experience was something completely new for my. To create a blog, to make entries. I never before was interested in creating a blog. It is an activity that helps a lot to know  your partner, learning english at the same time. Although it helps to develop writing skills in English, I feel that should be activities of this type on the internet but to develop the listening. Even so, there isn't doubt that creating blogs in English, develops enough writing. It helps you learn new words and to elaborate your own opinions. To do blogs you out of a classroom, you don't have to do boring tests, you express your opinions with different themes, in a way more entertaining. In the future I would like to do videos. The videos could treat about views against issues of today, news, or TV shows, to make it more entertaining. I think in this moment that topics missed for to do and is difficult. I feel that the 10 subjects were pleasure for most of my peers. I don't know, I think for example some experience embarrassing, some interesting story in your life. Finally, these sessions taught me a new way to learn English.

Hello! As a general overview about the Faculty of odontology, I can tell that it is a faculty with a good infrastructure, a design and aesthetics very special . Its location in the commune of Independencia. This makes having an approach to the population. The Faculty of odontology of the University of Chile is the oldest of the country and with a great history behind. The positives are that is formed by greats professional dentists., but not all prepared to teach. The Faculty counts with the most important center of dental research in the country, something that characterizes general the University of Chile. It has its own dental clinic, your own gym or recreation center. I think it has good space taking into account that it is a faculty with a single career. Negative things are that there are scarcity of auditoriums for classes. The treatment of some professors to students is not good. There are many teachers think are gods for to be dentists. But the most negative I can find, is that whenever you want to make big changes, we need faculty will go to stop. If I could change anything, I would take out some teachers and improve the conditions of the preclinical. The Faculty communicates with the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of medicine. This is very good because generate more relations with students,  primarily about the area of health. We share information, classroom, extra-university activities.

Recalling Cartoons

I remember when I had like 4 years old and saw the teletubbies in the channel "La Red". However, everything changed when my parents installed "cable" in my house to that age. That opened my mind regarding the cartoons. I watched television all day, nickelodeon, cartoon network, fox kids, boomerang, among other channels. My parents had to hide cables that I didn't see all day and I could do the homework. If you could choose any series, I choose power rangers, but they aren't cartoon. Then as a cartoon you want to "Doraemon, the cosmic cat". I liked because each chapter was different, with new adventures. It is a cartoon I worked my imagination. I saw this cartoon since I was 6 years old. Doraemon was the maximum, I dreamed of having a pet as well. With the passage of the years, I was watching other cartoons as Ben 10 or Avatar. But I always preferred to watch series as "Ned's school survival manual" or "Drake and Josh". And how to forget me the Simpsons. Until a few minutes ago I was watching them. Now I would recommend children show Phineas and Ferb, because it is an entertaining way to do work the minds of children and to learn good lessons.

U-cursos, a great platform

Hello! I chose the website u-cursos (www.u-cursos.cl). U-cursos is a platform that gives each course from your University, Institute or college a site on the Internet with many tools to support learning. Each student has an account on this web site, where you can to do many actions. It has a list of all subjects which attends. In each subject you can comment or create a forum, see their timetable for evaluations, see members of the subject, receive and send mails directly to teachers, see their grades, etc. It is a tool that facilitates the study of the student because you can upload and download files, such as for example the kinds of teachers. This web site should be used frequently by students. I joined the site as 3 times a day, already that if I don't do that, I delay with the material or informations the different teachers. At the beginning it took me to get me to occupy it, but after a few weeks it is so commonly used as facebook web site. I like the design and the utility.

THE IMITATION GAME

I must admit that choose my favorite movie is really difficult. In fact, I believe that I haven't a favorite movie. However I chose this because it is one of the best I've seen in the last time. I like this movie because mix subjects such as history, psychology, mathematics, discrimination homosexual that existed at the time and best of all is that it is based on real events. The film is about a man with a brilliant mind. He is Professor at University, has approximately 25 years old, is British. His country enters the second world war and the only way to defeat the Nazis is deciphering the communication system, called enigma code, which changes patterns every 24 hours. The first time I saw it was two months ago. My favorite movies are about of science fiction, of history and of zombies. The most recent movie I saw is fast and furious 7. I didn't fascinated me, a part gave me sleep, but the end I really liked. I can only tell you to see The Imitation Game. It has many surprises, you will like.

Elephant leg

Hello, in this post I will write about of a famous photography called Elephant leg. This photography was taken by Russian scientists in 1986, in the inside the factory Vladimir Ilich Lenin, nuclear power plant where the accident of Chernobyl. Show a radioactive mass that with only 300 seconds next to this, you die for the radioactivity emitted. It is the object most dangerous of the planet. People who took the photograph died in a few days. This photography is very interesting for me. If you are exposed to 300 roengeniums, is deadly. With 600 roengeniums, you have burns on the skin, damage to internal organs, and two days of life. Today, nearly 30 years after of the catastrophe of Chernobyl, The elephant leg emits 10,000 roengeniums. is very deadly. Any form of life dies to be close. Currently, photographs are taken with robots. If the robots are very close, these fail. Thanks.    

The language of the gods

Hello. In this post I will write about the music. I like all kind of music, because I like the music in general. For example, the rap. My favorite song of rap is "the language of the gods" by Nach. For this reason the title. Before entering the university, I listen hard rock, trash metal, heavy metal, nu metal, alternative metal, neoclasic metal, punk, punk rock, etc. Since sixth, I went through all of those styles, listening hundreds and hundreds of bands for example: Guns N' Roses, Metallica, megadeth, Pantera, Led zeppelin, slipknot, RHCP audioslave, rage against the machine, incubus, blink 182, The ramones, Rancid, and more. I like this kind because I play guitar since twelve years old, and like the guitar of those band. Also because the lyrics of their songs I liked. I liked to investigate about bands and knowing curious facts, for example, how was is created sweet child o' mine; Axl Rose (vocalist of GNR) stumbled with Slash (guitarist). Slash did a melody imitating a circus. Axl Rose combined the melody with a poem that had been done to his girlfriend and was created the song. I have been a many "tocatas", and two concerts: Guns N' Roses in 2010 and Slash in 2011.

Today I'll talk about my favorite piece of technology. This is the iPad. iPad is the tablet of Apple. I don't know why your name is iPad, and not tablet. Apple like have own names. iPad is a tablet with ios, iphone operating system. This is a operating system created for Apple products. personally, Ihave iPad air. It's very thin and light, with a big screem named Retina. This means that have  many pixels per inch. I have this iPad since last year. It's very useful for many things, how for example, for the university. But also I can use for play. One things good is that you save money in print guides. I use iPad since I get up in the morning for off the alarm clock, until the night when I 'm studying. I like this piece of technology because have an infinite world of functions, from see the stars at night, until tune the guitar. My life would not be horrible without it, only would be a little more difficult.

Expectations for a New Semester 

For this semester, I have many expectations. The first expectation, as  all my partners, is pass all the subjects. In this semester, there are two subject more difficult; diagnosis and simulation. The teacher more entertaining for my, is Doctor Rodolfo Miralles. I have two subjetc more humanist or subjective; Anthropology and Promotion in Health. And one subject of investigation; Evidence-based dentistry. My extracurricular activities are going to the gym and playing guitar. In this moment, I don't have anything else in mind. For this semester, a activity part of the university is that I'm  Chemistry Assistant. To my always liked chemistry and for my wasn´t so difficult the pasts semesters pass this subject. My expect for this semester is learn the different skills for have a good fourth semester, to meet more to my partners, to meet new people and have a better physical state.        

My Auto Biography

Hello, my name is Juan Ramirez, and I am in second year of dentistry in the University of Chile. Since I was born, I lived in Teno for 10 years. That time, I studied in a school in Curicó. I had that travel 25 kilometers every day. After, I lived in San Fernando until before enter the University. In San Fernando, I learned many things, as play guitar. I formed a band of rap metal and other of hard rock. In that city, I met to my best friends. In fourth grade of secondary, I took the PSU and joined to study odontology. The first year was very difficult for me but passed all the course. In this last time, I have had interest for the poker and have played with my friends, my family and also online with people from around the world. This is my short biography.
